Emma Clay, PMHNP-BC
Emma is Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults. Emma is from the North Shore and trained in Boston, earning her nursing degree at Simmons and master’s degree at Northeastern University, she is proud to serve the community that is her home.
She began her nurse practitioner career working with children and adolescents at a community health center, where she had the opportunity to care for individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds. This experience shaped her approach to treatment and reinforced the importance of meeting patients where they are. She previously worked as a nurse in higher-acuity settings, including inpatient psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital, caring for youth with complex medical and mental-health needs.
Emma specializes in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and trauma. She takes a developmentally informed, evidence-based approach and strongly values collaboration. She works closely with families, therapists, schools, and other providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Her goal is to create a supportive, welcoming space where children, adolescents, young adults, and their families feel heard, understood, and empowered.
